- About Jim
Endorsements
"As our campaign continues to grow, I have been honored by the growing support from Hoosiers who have taken a stand for better leadership and endorsed me as their candidate for governor. However, one of my greatest endorsements came from an elderly couple in South Bend who were on a fixed income and struggling to pay their bills. This couple represents so many hard-working Hoosier families I've met with across our state. They wanted to contribute to my campaign and gave me a penny, asking me to always remember that for struggling Hoosier families like theirs, every penny counts. If you believe Indiana can and should be doing better, join our campaign today. I believe that every Indiana child, adult and senior deserves the opportunity for a better life, and I'm ready to give Indiana the leadership our State deserves." -- Jim Schellinger

Hoosiers from across our state have come together to endorse Jim's candidacy for governor. Look here to read what some of Indiana's leaders are saying about Jim.
"As former Speaker of the House, I learned that bipartisanship and a philosophy of leadership which puts the people of Indiana first is the key to creating real positive change. Jim Schellinger has the ability to reach across party lines and bring people together to address the needs of our State. I am honored to call him a friend and proud to serve as a co-chair for his campaign for governor." -- Former Speaker John Gregg
"Jim Schellinger has a vision for Indiana -- an Indiana with a better economy, safer neighborhoods and the best education system for our children. His vision is why I asked Jim to serve in volunteer roles in my administration and why I think he is the right choice to move Indiana forward." -- Indianapolis Mayor Bart Peterson
"As a woman serving the people of our state, I understand the importance of having leaders who listen to the people they serve. Jim Schellinger is ready to listen to Hoosiers about the issues they face on a day-to-day basis. As our state moves forward, we must do so as one people under a unified vision. Jim Schellinger will lead our state with a commitment to the integration of cultures and the ability to unite Hoosiers, in order to create a better Indiana." -- the late Congresswoman Julia Carson
"Jim Schellinger has the ability to bring people together; he knows that Indiana's greatest resource is our people. As a businessman and long-time Democratic supporter, he has always understood the importance of listening to the people of our State which is why I know he is the best leader for Indiana." -- Butch Morgan, 2nd District Democratic Chair
"Over the years I have learned that real leadership is about bringing people together. That's what Jim Schellinger does better than anyone I know. For more than ten years I have witnessed first-hand his ability to bring people together, in spite of their different beliefs and values. As governor, I am confident that he has the knowledge and skill to tackle the tough challenges that face our state and lead Hoosiers to a new vision for our future." - State Representative Terri Austin
"As a lifelong resident of Indiana, I've seen what good leadership can do for our State. Jim Schellinger is the kind of leader Indiana needs and deserves, and he will be the best leader to bring our State to its full potential." -- Michael O'Connor, Marion County Democratic Chair
"Jim Schellinger is the kind of leadership Indiana needs and deserves. He understands the problems Hoosiers face and will work with Hoosiers to create real solutions that will benefit every Indiana family." -- Rod Pate, Clark County Democratic Chair
"Indiana deserves better leadership -- the kind of leadership Jim Schellinger can provide. Jim believes that Indiana can and should be doing better, and he has the vision and knowledge that will build a better Indiana." -- Kip Tew, Former Indiana Democratic Party Chair
"Throughout my experience in Indiana, I have been able to identify good leadership when I see it. Jim Schellinger brings the perfect combination of vision, leadership and cooperation that our State needs which is how I know he will be the best choice for the job." -- Ed Treacy, Former Marion County Democratic Chair
"My experience as a state representative and a serviceman in the Navy taught me to use one guiding philosophy best articulated by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: 'Is it right?' Jim Schellinger encompasses what is good and what is right for Indiana. As governor, Jim will provide leadership which keeps our Hoosier values first." -- State Representative Bill Crawford
"Indiana deserves better leadership, and Jim Schellinger is prepared to bring that much-needed leadership to the Governor's office. He loves Indiana and has a vision that will turn our state around, leading to better-paying jobs, a stronger economy, and the best education system for our children. Throughout the years, Jim has shown a strong commitment to diversity, making him the best choice for Governor." -- Robin Winston, Former Indiana Democratic Party Chair
"Jim Schellinger has so much respect for hard-working Indiana families, in no small part because Jim comes from a working family. We're proud to support Jim Schellinger because, as Governor, he'll be a leader who listens to everyday Hoosiers. And that's exactly the kind of change Indiana needs." -- Mo Davison, Director of the United Auto Workers Region 3
"Jim Schellinger cares about the working men and women in this state. He has walked in their shoes, and he will be a champion for hardworking Hoosiers…Jim has a track record of listening to his employees and building consensus. He'll do the same for state employees, and working Hoosiers all over this state. We are tremendously excited about Jim's candidacy and the inclusive style of leadership Jim is prepared to bring to the Governor's office." -- David Warrick, American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees Council 62 Executive Director
